Marc-André Chabot Preface

By Marc-André Chabot

Marc-André Chabot is a reporter in the
"Je Regarde Moi Non Plus" Show broadcated on TVA Network.

In the exercise of my pleasant functions as a reporter on Je Regarde Moi Non Plus , one day I was sent on a mission to observe the practitioners of swinging. The closer it got to the location of the taping, the more my imagination galloped.

What do you think of, when you hear the word "swinging"? The only images, which came to me, lead straight to the Caligula film. I was far from wanting to play the role of a decadent centurion. I envisioned myself standing over bodies, participating in a Roman orgy, barely able to brush off the hands clutching my clothing. Frankly, I was a little intimidated and was fearful of having my pants torn off.

It was in this mood that I became acquainted with Jean Hamel. In a state of mind, which truly, was not far from that of the uninitiated persons who enter a swingers club for the first time. The best thing, which can happen to you then, is to meet Jean. Jean Hamel is one of the Québec pioneers of this unusual practice and has propagated its acceptance with passion since the first hints of swinging began in Quebec.

It's a euphemism to say he knows the subject profoundly. In love with the pleasure in all its forms, he is regarded as spokesman of choice for all those whose curiosity is aroused by swinging, those who simply want to know more about this phenomenon which is engulfing Quebec, or, if it is advisable to practice this contact sport.
